His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia Sends a Greeting on the Reestablishment of the Fullness of Brotherly Communion in the Local Russian Orthodox Church

Archibishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci, Patriarch of Serbia Pavle sent a greeting to His Holiness Patriarch Alexy II on the occasion of the signing of the Act of Canonical Communion between the Moscow Patriarchate and the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, which represents the reestablishment of unity within the Local Russian Orthodox Church.

Your Holiness!

From the Council of Bishops of our Local Church, which began its regular meeting in Belgrade, on my own behalf and that of all of our bishops, I send a brotherly kiss to Your Holiness and the fullness of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.

Wishing you a blessed holiday of the Ascension of the Lord as the highest fulfillment of the history of the world and of mankind, we express particular joy that it is specifically on the day of this holy feast day that you will serve Divine Liturgy together with the bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. This historical and grace-filled event brings particular joy to our Serbian Orthodox Church, which over the entire time of this wound upon the body of Christ, upon the much-suffering Russian Orthodox Church, empathized with her and tried as much as possible to help heal her. This event is a special gift of the Holy Spirit and of the Fullness of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and the manifestation of her apostolic mission in today's world.

Your Holiness' brother in Christ and fellow concelebrator,

+ PAVLE, Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Patriarch of Serbia.
