Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America leads feast-day celebrations at SS Peter and Paul Church

On July 12, 2026, the feast day of the Holy, Glorious, and All-Praised Chief Apostles Peter and Paul, a solemn hierarchical divine service was celebrated at the church dedicated to them in Santa Rosa.

Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America. Concelebrating were the parish Rector, Archpriest Alexander Krassovsky, and clergy of the diocese. Archpriest George Kurtow served as the senior priest.

During the minor entrance, Archbishop Kyrill bestowed a liturgical award upon Priest Seth Davidenko, granting him the right to wear the nabedrennik.

Following Divine Liturgy, the clergy and parishioners took part in a procession around the church.

Archbishop Kyrill then presented a decree of blessing to the parish’s longtime warden, Pavel Ivanovich Johnson, upon the completion of his service in this position. For more than twenty years, Pavel Ivanovich faithfully cared for the church and parish life with diligence, responsibility, and Christian love. On behalf of the entire parish, he was thanked for his many years of devoted service and faithfulness to the Church, and was wished strong health, peace of soul, and God’s help for many blessed years.

The celebration concluded with a festive meal and warm fellowship among the clergy and parishioners.
