A cleric of the Australian-New Zealand Diocese participates in the “Royal Days” celebrations in Ekaterinburg

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop George of Sydney and the Australia-New Zealand Diocese, the Dean of the parishes in New Zealand, Archpriest Vladimir Boikov, participated in the main services of the so-called “Royal Days” in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, July 17, 2025, the day of the martyrdom of the Royal Family, Fr Vladimir served alongside a multitude of archpastors led by His Eminence Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Central Asia at the Church “on the Blood” in Ekaterinburg and, together with 40,000 believers who received communion from 166 chalices, participated in a procession to the men's monastery at Ganina Yama.

The next day, on the feast day of the Holy Martyrs Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna and Nun Barbara, a festive service was held at the Alapaevsk Monastery.
