Patriarchal congratulations to Archbishop Michael (Donskoff) on the 25th anniversary of his episcopal consecration

To His Eminence Archbishop Michael:

Your Eminence:

I express my heartfelt greetings to you on this important date—the 25th anniversary of your episcopal consecration.

Since your childhood you came to love the Church of God and the beauty of the Orthodox divine service. Beholding your desire to serve the Holy Church, the All-Generous Giver of all blessings and the Father of kindness enabled you to receive the priestly rank and monastic tonsure, after which He elevated you to the lofty episcopal dignity. Serving as an example of staunchness of spirit and devotion to one’s calling, over the course of a quarter of a century you strive to be a good pastor, laying down your life for your flock (John 10:11). In all places you have served, you tirelessly announce to your neighbors, near and far, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God with power and authority (Mark 9:1).

By the prayers of intercession of the Holy, Glorious Chief Apostles Peter and Paul, on whose feast day you became one of their successors, may the Lord keep you in good health and boldness of spirit, sending down upon you abundant aid on your path to salvation.

Many good years to you!

With love in Christ,

+KIRILL,
PATRIARCH OF MOSCOW AND ALL RUSSIA
