CANADIAN DIOCESE: A Familial Meeting in the Forest, in Ruskoka


A Familial Meeting in the Forest


The children’s camp of the Canadian Diocese in “Ruskoka” (a diocesan lakeside property some 200 kilometers north of Toronto) opened on 3 August. For Russian Orthodox families and youth above 16 years of age there will be a gathering on 23-25 August in Ruskoka. The conference is scheduled for 23 August at 6 p.m. The program includes a campfire, singing of folk songs, sports, a hike in the woods, swimming, a seminar on church singing, a discussion with clergy, vigil on Saturday evening and divine liturgy on Sunday. The price of admission is $30 CAN per person or $75 CAN per family. Registration must be made in advance. Participants are expected from London, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton as well as the USA. All participants must attend church services.
