A French-language Prayer Book Now Available

A new French-language Orthodox prayer book has been published as part of a special edition of La Voie Orthodoxe (The Orthodox Way) in Lyon, edited by Priest Quentin de Castelbajac, Rector of St John the Russian Parish.

Included in the prayer book are morning and evening prayers, prayers of need, service prayers from vespers, compline, midnight office, matins, the first, third, sixth and ninth hours, and also the prayers before and after Holy Communion.

This publication was blessed by His Grace Bishop Ambroise of Vevey, Administrator of the Diocese of Geneva and Western Europe, who in a brief foreword noted the great task accomplished by the editors in checking the texts against various previous translations and compiling them into one book, which until now could only be gleaned from several different publications.

Those wishing to purchase the new prayer book, along with a copy of La Voie Orthodoxe can visit the website of the Parish of St John the Russian: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/stranitchka.
