A Second Priest is Appointed to Holy Epiphany Church in Boston

Through the intercession of Mitred Protopriest Roman Lukianov, the Rector of Holy Epiphany Church in Boston, Priest Victor Boldewskul was accepted by His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus as a clergyman of the Diocese of Eastern America and New York and appointed as a Deputy and Assistant Rector of the Russian Church in Boston.

Fr Victor Boldewskul was born in Rochester, NY. He was baptized and raised in Holy Protection Parish. Upon graduating from high school he entered Holy Trinity Seminary in Jordanville where he diligently studied and worked in publishing. After seminary he continued his education at Ohio State University, majoring in history. In 1993 he completed his Master’s thesis: The World View of St Iosif Volotsky. In 1996 he received a grant and worked on his doctoral dissertation in Moscow up until 1998. In Moscow he got married and, having returned to the US, he was ordained a deacon in June of 1999 by Archbishop Alypy. On the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos, he was ordained a priest by then-Archbishop Laurus. At first, Fr Victor served in Columbus, OH, and in 2001 he was appointed senior priest of the cathedral in Cleveland. Fr Victor has two children and is expecting the third child in August.
