On January 30, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, His Eminence Archbishop Hilarion of Sydney and the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand officiated at divine liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral along with Priest Victor Dobrov and Priest Joakim Provatakis and Protodeacon Eugene Burbelo and Protodeacon Nicolas Mokhoff. Praying in the altar and partaking of the Holy Mysteries was His Grace Bishop Ambroise of Vevey, Administrator of the Diocese of Geneva and Western Europe; His Grace Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan served at the Parish of the Holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Brooklyn, NY.

At the end of divine liturgy, His Eminence Archbishop Hilarion gave a sermon on the Gospel reading of the day, and then greeted all the worshipers on the Sunday holiday. During the trapeza lunch, His Eminence conversed with many of his spiritual children and admirers, who congratulated him on the 20th anniversary of his archpastoral service.
