DIOCESE OF CHICAGO AND DETROIT: October 4, 2004

Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Episcopal Service of His Eminence Archbishop Alypy

As reported by His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Administrator of the Diocese of Chicago and Detroit, a Pastoral Conference is scheduled for October 11-14 at Holy Protection Cathedral, to coincide with the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the episcopal service of His Eminence Archbishop Alypy of Chicago and Detroit, and the feast day celebration of the Cathedral.

On October 11, at 7 pm, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus will conduct a moleben of thanksgiving, after which a trapeza will be offered in honor of Archbishop Alypy's anniversary at the Cathedral hall. On October 12-13, the Conference will be held, and on the 14th, the clergymen, headed by His Grace Bishop Peter, will perform divine liturgy on the feast day of the Cathedral. Concurrently with the Pastoral Conference will be a meeting of the matushkas of the Diocese.

On the day of the Protection of the Mother of God, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus will lead the service at Holy Virgin Protection Church in Nyack, NY.
