Missionary Conference of the Southern Deanery Scheduled for the End of October

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus, a Missionary Conference of the Southern Deanery of the Eastern American Diocese will be held on October 30-31 in Mobile, AL, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the glorification of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco (+1966). Among the guest speakers will be N.A. Lukianov, Warden of the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," the brother of His Grace Bishop Peter and former cell-attended and altar boy under Vladyka John.

N.A. Lukianov will share some of his recollections of this great saint of the Russian emigration. Priest Alexander Logunov, Rector of St John Church, which will be hosting the Conference, invites all parish rectors and clergymen of missions of the Southern Deanery to register in advance at http://geocities.com/rocor_mobile/conference.htm. His Grace Bishop Gabriel will officiate at divine services and preside over the Conference.
