CHICAGO: July 20, 2020
A prayer service is held at Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral for the beginning of the summer Metropolitan Laurus Synodal School of Liturgical Music
On Sunday, July 19, 2020, the feast day of the Saints of Radonezh, Protopriest Andre Papkov, Dean of Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral and President of the Synodal Liturgical Music Commission, performed a moleben service for the beginning of the summer session of the Metropolitan Laurus Synodal School of Liturgical Music. Due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic, the summer session will be held online. The moleben was live-streamed from the Chicago cathedral. Fr Andre welcomed the participants, hoping that by the prayers of Metropolitan Laurus of blessed memory, the Lord would bless their efforts.
The session will be held from July 20-August 1.
