NEW YORK: January 17, 2019
The Russian Consulate General in NY hosts a Christmas reception

On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in New York City held an official Christmas celebration hosted by Consul General Sergey Ovsyannikov and the Representation of the Moscow Patriarchate in the USA.

Participating were His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Deputy Secretary of the Synod of Bishops; His Grace Bishop Irinej, Administrator of the Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church; Consul General Mirjana Zivkovic of Serbia; Protopriest Thomas Zain, Rector of St Nicholas Cathedral in Brooklyn and Vicar General of the Antiochian Orthodox Church in the USA, and clergymen of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Russian Church Abroad, and the Serbian Orthodox Patriarchate, as well as representatives of diplomatic services of various nations, and social and cultural figures.

Mr Ovsyannikov and Bishop Nicholas welcomed the guests, congratulating them with the Nativity season and New Year.

The Synodal Men's Choir of Passion-bearer Emperor Nicholas II (Russian Church Abroad) gave a performance of traditional Christmas carols, as reported by the official website of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA.
