NEW YORK: November 2, 2015
The Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York Will Host the Celebration of the 175th Anniversary of the Birth of Peter Tchaikovsky and the 95th Anniversary of the Exodus of the Volunteer Army from Crimea

On Sunday, November 15, 2015, Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York. The Synodal Choir, under the direction of Peter Fekula, will sing the Divine Liturgy of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Opus 41, to mark the 175th anniversary of the composer’s birth. At the end of the service, a commemorative litiya will be performed to mark the 95th anniversary of the exodus of the Russian Volunteer Army from Crimea (November 14, 1920) for all the Orthodox Christians who found themselves in exile. During the service, the standards of two regiments of the Drozdovsky Division will be unfurled.
