The Union of the Descendants of Gallipoli Makes an Appeal

General Baron Pyotr Nikolaevich Wrangel established the Society of Russians of Gallipoli on November 22, 1921, exactly one year since the first detachments of the White Army arrived in the city. For this reason, the Union of Descendants of the Russians of Gallipoli decided that every year, on the Saturday closest to November 22, memorial services should be organized wherever the descendants of those exiles now live.

The Union asks all such persons, scattered throughout the world, to gather Russian Orthodox Christians in your location to perform a pannikhida on this day to commemorate all the Russians of Gallipoli, and the warriors of the White Army.

A request is also made to inform the UDRG of the time and place of such pannikhidas in your region at: contact@gallipoli.fr.

This Saturday, November 23, 2013, solemn pannikhidas will take place as follows:

PARIS: The Gallipoli Memorial in Ste-Genenieve-du-Bois at 2:00 pm.

LUXEMBOURG: SS Peter and Paul Church at 4:30 pm.

GENEVA: Elevation of the Cross Cathedral at 5:00 pm.

BRUSSELS: St Job Memorial Church of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas at 4:00 pm.
