The Great-Lenten Pastoral Conference of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand
On Friday, March 29, 2013, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, who continues his reign over the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand, SS Peter and Paul Cathedral in Sydney, Australia, hosted the annual Great-Lenten Pastoral Conference.
On the eve of the opening, the participating clergymen prayed at the Archbishops' Chapel in Croydon, where they made confession. The following morning, the clerics, headed by Protopriest Michael Protopopov, they celebrated Divine Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified Gifts at the cathedral, after which the sisterhood offered a lenten trapeza. The clergymen then heard the archpastoral epistle of their ruling bishop, Vladyka Hilarion, and commenced discussing matters relating to the life of the diocese and matters pertaining to pastoral ministry and divine services.
