The Sunday of Orthodoxy is Celebrated at San Francisco’s Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow”

On Sunday, March 24, 2013, the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, celebrated Divine Liturgy of St Basil the Great at the Cathedral of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in San Francisco, CA.

At the end of the service, a moleben “for the conversion of those in error” and the Rite of Orthodoxy were performed with the magnificent intonations of Protodeacon Nicholas Triantafillidis . His Eminence was joined in the moleben by His Grace Vicar Bishop Theodosius of Seattle and clergymen from neighboring parishes. Following the anathematizing of heretics, schismatics and others who reject the canons of the Church of God, Fr Nicholas intoned Eternal Memory to all the defenders of Orthodoxy, and then Many Years to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the Hierarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and all those who ardently adhere to the Faith in Christ.
