St Alexander Nevsky Parish in Lakewood Turns 75

On Sunday, May 8, 2011, the Sunday of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York officiated at celebrations devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Parish of St Alexander Nevsky in Lakewood, NJ. He was joined in the services by His Grace Bishop George of Mayfield and His Grace Bishop Jerome of Manhattan along with a host of clergymen of the Eastern American Diocese. Congratulating the parishioners and worshipers of the magnificent St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, His Eminence awarded its Rector, Protopresbyter Valery Lukianov, the Second Synodal Order “of the Sign.” A festive luncheon followed the services.
