His Beatitude Christopher, Archbishop of Prague and Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, Will Make an Official Visit to the Russian Church Abroad 

On Friday, February 25, 2011, His Beatitude Archbishop Christopher of Prague, Metropolitan of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, will make an official visit to the Russian Church Abroad. From JFK Airport, His Beatitude Vladyka Christopher will head to the Synodal Residence of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. The following morning, His Beatitude Vladyka Christopher and Metropolitan Hilarion will visit Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, where they will perform a funerary litany in the crypt of Metropolitan Laurus of blessed memory, and meet with the monastery brethren, teachers and students of Holy Trinity Seminary, and will then officiate at all-night vigil at the cathedral.  

On Sunday, February 27, Meatfare Sunday, His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher will officiate at Divine Liturgy at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady “of the Sign” in New York.  

On Monday, February 28, His Beatitude will meet with His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Head of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese in America, at his residence in New York. That evening, Vladyka Christopher will visit St Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary, where he will meet with His Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah, Primate of the Orthodox Church in America and the teachers and students of St Vladimir’s.  

On Tuesday, March 1, after visiting local holy sites of the Russian Church Abroad, His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher will leave for Prague.
