DIOCESE OF SAN FRANCISCO AND WESTERN AMERICA: March 10 2010
San Francisco: The IV Annual Orthodox Lenten Retreat at "Joy of All Who Sorrow" Cathedral will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, the IV Annual Orthodox Lenten Retreat will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco.

The program begins with the Divine Liturgy (in English) at 7:30 am. Then, two lectures will be offered: "Holy Scripture and the Life of Prayer" and "The Evangelization of America." After an open forum for questions and answers, guided tours of the Cathedral will be offered, providing historic and liturgical details about the many spiritual treasures within, including the shrine of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco. English vespers start at 5:30 pm, followed by informal fellowship in the cathedral hall.
