The Delegation of the Russian Church Abroad Visits the Podvorie of the Russian Orthodox Church in Karlovy Vary

On September 18, 2008, a delegation of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, headed by His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, visited the Church of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Karlovy Vary. Here, the delegates were greeted by the Rector, Protopriest Nikolaj Liscenuk, and his parishioners. Venerating the holy icons and relics of the church, Bishop Peter and his fellow-travelers made a tour of the podvorie [representative offices] of the Russian Orthodox Church, as well as the city itself, after which Fr Nikolaj offered a luncheon in honor of the visitors.

That evening, His Beatitude Metropolitan Krystof gave a farewell dinner in honor of the delegation, during which Bishop Peter recounted the highlights of their pilgrimage throughout the holy sites of Slovakia.

The following day, His Grace departed for Chicago.
