Subdeacon Victor Artzimovich, Member of the III and IV All-Diaspora Councils, Dies

Subdeacon Victor Artzimovich passed away on September 4, 2006.

Victor Mikhailovich participated in all the sessions of the IV All-Diaspora Council held last May in San Francisco. On the last day of the Council, he partook of the Holy Gifts. Victor Mikhailovich participated in the IV All-Diaspora Council as an automatic delegate, having taken part in the III All-Diaspora Council, and also as a representative of the National Organization of Vityazi. Soon after his return from San Francisco, Victor Mikhailovich suffered a stroke, after which he was diagnosed with cancer.

On September 7, a funerary Liturgy will be performed at the Church of Great Martyr Barbara in Vevey. The funeral will be held on the following day, September 8, at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Medon, near Paris, where Fr Michel had been rector for many years. The burial will take place at the family tomb at St-Genevieve du Bois.
