SIBERIA: A New Parish Established in Omsk in honor of St. John of Shanghai by Parishioners Loyal to the
Conciliar Church
Parish Established in Omsk
A new parish has been established in the city of Omsk in honor of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker. The parish, headed by Protopriest Nikolai Lukiy, consists mainly of those parishioners of the Church of the New Martyrs of Russia who remained loyal to the Conciliar Church. By the mercy of God, a church in honor of St. John has been founded on Siberian soil which exists under the guardianship of St. John of Tobol’sk the Miracle-worker, who was an ancestor of St. John of Shanghai.

Services in the new parish are temporarily being held in a house. The Reverend Rector constantly recalls the labors of St. John in his sermons, tells about his love for God, his compassion for his neighbor. According to the parishioners loyal to the Conciliar Church: “Peace reigns in the parish, as well as mutual love and joy in the Lord. The difficulty of daily life doesn’t upset us: we remember how St. John served in a garage in Paris.
