Traditional Nativity Celebration at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation

On Tuesday, January 12, at the invitation of S.V. Garmonin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in New York, and Bishop Merkury of Zaraisk, Administrator of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA, Bishop Gabriel, accompanied by Protopriest Andrei Sommer, Priest Serafim Gan and Deacon Vladimir Tsurikov (of Holy Trinity Seminary), visited the Consulate General in New York, where the traditional Nativity celebration was held, during which the Hierarchal Choir of St Nicholas Cathedral of the Moscow Patriarchate gave a concert. The first half of the concert was devoted to church music, and the second to Russian folk songs. A magnificent dinner was then served at the Consulate hall, where the guests spent a warm and amicable evening.
